30/06/2026  Promotion and Transfer of Several Senior Officers

By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the promotion, appointment and transfer of several senior officers as follows:

 

- Yang Mulia Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad, Permanent Secretary (Vision) at the Prime Minister's Office, to be transferred as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development;

 

- Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary (Community) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, to be transferred as Permanent Secretary (Vision) at the Prime Minister's Office;

 

- Yang Mulia Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister's Office to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister's Office and concurrently serves as Deputy Director of Internal Security Department;

 

- Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Zalani bin Haji Ismail, Director of Narcotics Control Bureau to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office and concurrently serves as Director of Narcotics Control Bureau;

 

- Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Law) at the Ministry of Development to be transferred as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister's Office;

 

- Yang Mulia Dr. Dayang Hajah May Fae'zah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, Permanent Secretary (Economy, Trade and Industry) at the Ministry of Finance to be transferred as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry;

 

- Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Harris bin Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Economy) at the Ministry of Finance to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry;

 

- Yang Mulia Datin Dayang Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Ibrahim, Managing Director of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) to be appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and concurrently serves as Managing Director of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam brunei (TAIB);

 

- Yang Mulia Dayangku Mazlizah binti Pengiran Haji Mahalee, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland to be promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry;

 

- Yang Mulia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Awang Haji Ahmad, Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and concurrently serves as Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah;

 

- Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports;

 

- Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Noridah binti Abdul Hamid, Acting Director of Social Service, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to be promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports;

 

- Yang Mulia Dr. Dayang Hajah Lily Suzana binti Haji Shamsu, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Corporate) at the Ministry of Education to be promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education;

 

- Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs to be transferred as Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Finance and seconded as Chief Executive Officer at Posbru Sendirian Berhad.

 

The date of promotion, appointment and transfer of the said senior officers are effective from Wednesday, 15th of Muharram, 1448 corresponding to the 1st of July, 2026.
